Everyone can relate to feeling swamped, overworked, and stressed on a daily basis. Between loads of laundry, financial woes, and planning dinners/quality time with friends and family, life can get awful hectic when it really shouldn’t be. Our mental health is so important, especially in a time where the digital world can negatively impact our overall well being. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older, or 18.1% of the population every year.
At the beginning of 2019, you probably promised yourself to be more organized and accomplish a list of goals, right? But realistically what does that look like on a monthly, weekly or even daily basis. You need a plan of action to help ease your mind and take strides towards the list of goals you want to accomplish this year.
Your to-do can include whatever you want. Some tasks may include: laundry (bathroom towels, gym clothes, sheets), write a blog post, hang up wall art, drop clothes off at goodwill, clean makeup brushes, read two chapters in my book, send my mom a thank you card, and the list goes on (literally). Anything that’s floating around in your head, make sure to write down, or you’ll forget and never do it.
simple tips for making a to-do list
- Every morning before work, review your to-do list and see what you can get done that day.
- Find a routine and stick to it. Consistency is key!
- Keep your to-do list in your planner, at your desk, or anywhere you can constantly see it.
